Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty can be performed for cosmetic or functional purposes. The shape of the nose can be changed to enhance one's appearance. In patients with difficulty breathing through their nose, internal nasal surgery can be performed to allow air to pass through the nose more easily. A rhinoplasty can improve the proportionality of the nose to other facial features creating a more natural appearance.
The surgery requires general anesthesia. Bruising and swelling will last for several weeks. A splint dressing is placed on the nose following surgery and will be removed after 7 days. All incisions are very well hidden within the nose.
