Thigh lift surgery removes redundant skin in the inner thigh area. This skin often results after massive weight loss and can be flabby and unattractive. Removal of this loose skin creates a tighter and more attractive thigh.
The thigh lift is usually performed on the inner surface of the thighs but can include the outer thigh area and buttock if indicated. General or sedation anesthesia can be used to perform the procedure. Strenuous activity must be avoided for several weeks after surgery.
